"Open With:
Every time I download a program on my Windows 7 Enterprise-upgraded PC the, "Open With" screen pops up. The "Open With" screen also pops up after I click on an icon in the Start Menu, and when I click on an icon on the Desktop. How do I make the "Open With" screen go away and make the programs open properly, and make the downloading programs download properly? NOTE: When I want to use the Internet, I have to type the URL in the search bar located within the Start Menu, because when I click on "Internet Explorer" on my Desktop the "Open With" screen pops up. After the "Open With" screen pops up, I click on, "Internet Explorer", and I click, "OK." Next, the window with "Run, Save, Cancel" pops up --- I click, "Run." Then, after I do all of those actions all of those annoying windows keep popping up. How do I make my PC work properly without having to put with "Open With" dialog boxes.

Hi, When did the issue first occur? Did it occur after installing some software? Please first run System Restore and see if the issue can be resolved. If the issue persists, access Clean Boot to check the issue. If the issue disappears in the Clean Boot environment, you can continue to narrow down which entry is causing the issue. Also, run the anti-virus and anti-spyware software to see if there is suspicious files. If the issue still exists, you can also reset the default .exe file association by importing this registry key. NOTE: Please first create a restore point before importing the registry key, so that you can simply restore the system to the current status. 1. Save the Default_EXE.zip file from the above link on to the Desktop. 2. Right click on the Default_EXE.zip file and then extract it. 3. Right click on the Default_EXE.reg file and then click Merge. 4. Click Yes to confirm the modification. 5. Please check if the issue can be resolved. Hope this helps.
